Ross Jones was an infielder for the Mets in 1984. He appeared in a total of 17 games in his only season with the team.

Jones had one hit in ten at bats in '84. The hit made him a team hero for the day. On April 28, Ross hit a double in the ninth inning that drove in the winning run for a 4-3 Mets' triumph over the Phillies at Shea Stadium. This was also Jones' only RBI as a member of the Mets.

Ross spent the 1985 season in the Mets' minor league system. He played for the Seattle Mariners in 1986 and the Kansas City Royals in 1987. Ross completed his career in the minor leagues in 1988.
