Ronny Paulino

Ronny Paulino is a catcher for the Mets. He joined the team in 2011. Ronny had spent six seasons with the Pirates and Marlins before coming to the Mets.

In ’11, Paulino played in 78 games. He accumulated 80 total bases during the season. At Philadelphia on May 1, Ronny had four singles and a game-winning double in the 14th inning for a 2-1 Mets win over the Phillies. He singled three times and hit a three-run homer in a 7-6 Mets loss at Milwaukee on June 8. Paulino had two singles, two doubles and four runs scored in the Mets’ 16-9 victory at Detroit on June 29. He got a key two-out single to drive home the tying run in the ninth inning in an eventual 3-2 Mets win over the Yankees in 10 on July 3 at Citi Field. Ronny singled twice and doubled in a 4-2 Mets win over the Cardinals on July 19 at Citi Field. He had two singles, a double and a pair of runs scored in the Mets’ 8-5 triumph at Washington on July 29. Paulino also doubled and scored a run in a 7-4 Mets win at Florida in 12 innings on September 6.
