Roger Mason

Roger Mason was a pitcher for the Mets in 1994. He appeared in 41 games with the team. Mason had two wins and one save as a Met.
Mason came to the Mets from the Phillies during the ’94 season. At Montreal on May 9, he pitched three scoreless innings and got the win in a 5-4 Mets victory over the Expos. Roger pitched a perfect ninth inning for the win in the Mets’ 3-2 victory over the Braves at Shea Stadium on August 3. He also had one and one-third scoreless innings to get a save in a 10-7 Mets win over the Marlins on August 5 at Shea.
Mason had a pair of scoreless innings in the Mets’ 2-1 loss at Philadelphia on August 11. This was the final game before the season-ending players strike. It was also Roger’s final appearance of his major league career.
