Rich Sauveur was a pitcher for the Mets in 1991. He appeared in six games with the team. Sauveur had four strikeouts in three and one-third innings pitched as a Met.

Before joining the Mets in '91, Sauveur had pitched in seven major league games with the Pirates and Expos. He made his team debut with a scoreless fifth inning in an 11-10 Mets defeat at Cincinnati on June 5. Rich also struck out the Reds' Mariano Duncan with the bases loaded to end the top of the eighth in the Mets' 10-6 win on June 17 at Shea Stadium.

After his release from the Mets in January of 1992, Sauveur continued to pitch in the minor leagues for another nine years. He also appeared in 21 games with the Royals, White Sox and Athletics. Rich split the 2000 season between the Athletics and their AAA-level team in Sacramento to end his career.
