Raul Gonzalez was an outfielder for the Mets in 2002 and 2003. He played in 137 games with the team. Gonzalez had 104 total bases as a Met.
Gonzalez came to the Mets in a trade with the Reds on August 15, 2002. He had 21 hits over the rest of the season. Raul drove in four runs with two homers in a 7-4 Mets win at Colorado on August 25. He had two singles and a home run in the Mets' 11-5 win over the Marlins in the second game of a doubleheader at Shea Stadium on September 3. At Shea two days later, Gonzalez doubled to drive in a run in a 4-1 Mets victory over the Florida team.
In '03, Gonzalez collected 50 hits and 21 runs batted in. At Shea on April 23. he singled and homered in the Mets' 4-2 victory over the Astros. Raul had a single and an RBI double in a 4-2 Mets win over the Padres in 10 innings on May 10 at Shea. He had a single, a double, a stolen base and three RBIs in a 9-8 Mets defeat to the Yankees at Shea on June 28. Gonzalez singled, doubled and scored twice in the Mets' 7-5 victory at Cincinnati on July 6. He also had a two-run triple in a 9-3 Mets triumph at Florida on September 27.
Gonzalez appeared in seven games with the Indians in 2004. He continued to play in the minor and independent leagues and in Mexico until 2010.
