Ralph Terry was a pitcher for the Mets in 1966 and 1967. He appeared in 13 games with the team. Terry had 19 strikeouts in 28 innings pitched as a Met.
In '66, Terry was purchased by the Mets from the Kansas City Athletics during his eleventh season in the major leagues. He made his Mets debut with five and one-third innings in a start at Pittsburgh on August 11. Ralph wound up with a no-decision in the game as the Pirates scored three runs in the ninth to pull out a 7-5 win over the Mets. Terry struck out four batters in three scoreless innings of relief to close out a 9-5 Mets victory over the Bucs on August 18 at Shea Stadium. He also had three shutout innings pitched in a 3-0 Mets loss at Atlanta on August 27.
On April 22, 1967, Terry pitched perfect eighth and ninth innings with three strikeouts in the Mets' 4-3 defeat to the Phillies at Shea. This was his last appearance in a major league game. Ralph was released by the Mets on May 16.
