Prentice Redman

Prentice Redman was an outfielder for the Mets in 2003. He played in 15 games with the team. Redman had seven total bases and two runs batted in as a Met.

Redman joined the Mets from their AAA-level team in Norfolk in ’03. At Shea Stadium on September 2, he doubled for his first major league hit in the Mets’ 3-1 win over the Braves. Prentice hit a game-tying home run in the ninth inning in a 6-5 Mets loss at Philadelphia on September 4. He had a run-scoring single in a 7-3 Mets defeat to the Marlins on September 10 at Shea. Redman also scored a run in the Mets’ 9-3 victory at Florida on September 27.

In 2004 and 2005, Redman played in the Mets’ minor league system. He spent the next five seasons with several minor league teams. In 2011, Prentice played independent league baseball and for the Olmecas de Tabasco of the Mexican League.
