Pete Walker

Pete Walker was a pitcher for the Mets in 1995, 2001 and 2002. He appeared in 16 games with the team. Walker had a 1-0 won-lost record with nine strikeouts as a Met.
Walker was called up to the Mets from their AAA-level team in Norfolk during the ’95 season. He had 17 and two-thirds innings pitched over the rest of the year. Pete’s only decision with the Mets was a win in the team’s season-closing 1-0 victory over the Braves in 11 innings at Shea Stadium on October 1.
In 1996, Walker was traded to the Padres. He pitched one game with the San Diego team in the ’96 season and three with the Rockies in 2000. Back with the Mets, Pete appeared in three games with the team in ’01 and ’02 before being claimed on waivers by the Blue Jays. He pitched four seasons with the Toronto team. Walker ended his career in the Yankees’ minor league system in 2007.
