Orber Moreno

Orber Moreno was a pitcher for the Mets in 2003 and 2004. He made 40 relief appearances for the team. Moreno had three wins and one save as a Met.

Moreno joined the Mets after pitching in 42 games at AA-level Binghamton and AAA-level Norfolk in '03. He made seven appearances with the parent club over the rest of the season. Orber had a total of eight innings pitched for the Mets for the year.

In '04, Moreno had a 3.38 earned run average with the Mets. At San Juan, Puerto Rico on April 9, he pitched a scoreless 11th inning for the save in a 3-2 Mets win over the Montreal Expos. Orber was the winning pitcher in the Mets' 5-3 victory at Philadelphia on May 31. He chalked up a win in a 6-5 Mets triumph over the Yankees on July 4 at Shea Stadium. Moreno also got the win in the Mets' 5-4 victory over the Expos at Shea on July 21.

After missing the 2005 season with an injury, Moreno pitched for the Cardinals' AAA-level team in Memphis in 2006. He later pitched in Mexico for two years.
