The D'Backs got rolling in the third inning. The Mets had a 1-0 lead when Rogers walked Greg Colbrunn with the bases loaded and Finley followed with a two-run single to drop the New York behind, 3-1. Finley added a two-out double in the fifth off reliever Pat Mahomes to score Jay Bell and Matt Williams and make it a 5-1 Arizona lead.
In the seventh, Finley drew a bases loaded walk for his fifth RBI of the game. The D'Backs added another run before the inning ended. Greg Swindell then shut down the Mets with two scoreless innings of relief.
The Series was even as the teams headed for New York.
