Mike Remlinger
From The Met Wiki
Mike Remlinger was a lefthanded pitcher for the Mets in 1994 and 1995. He pitched 60 and one-third innings and recorded 39 strikeouts as a member of the team. Remlinger made nine starts and six relief appearances during his time with the Mets.
Remlinger began the ’94 season with the Mets’ AAA-level team in Norfolk. He was called up to the parent club in June and pitched in 10 games before the players strike ended the season prematurely. On August 2, Mike recorded his only win as a Met with eight innings of four-hit ball in a 4-1 triumph over the Braves at Shea Stadium.
In 1995, Remlinger pitched five and two-thirds innings for the Mets. In the season opener at Colorado, he was tagged with the loss as the Mets were defeated by the Rockies, 11-9, on April 26. This was Mike’s only decision of the ’95 season before he was traded to the Reds for Cobi Cradle on May 11.
Remlinger pitched for the Reds, Braves, Cubs and Red Sox over the rest of his career. As a Brave in 2002, he was on the National League All-Star team and pitched one inning of the Game in Milwaukee. Mike played his final major league season in 2006.
