Mike Baxter

Mike Baxter is an outfielder for the Mets. He joined the team during the 2011 season.

In ’11, Baxter played in the Mets’ minor league system before his call up to the parent club in August. He had eight hits in 22 games over the rest of the season. In his first major league at bat on August 8, Mike hit a run-scoring double in the Mets’ 9-8 win over the Padres at Citi Field. He also hit a two-run homer in a 3-0 Mets victory over the Reds at Citi Field on September 28.
