Mike A. Marshall was a first baseman for the Mets in 1990. In 53 games with the team, he hit 6 home runs and drove in 27 runs. Marshall batted .239 as a Met in '90.
Marshall had played nine seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers before coming to New York. During the Mets' first trip to Los Angeles in '90, Mike had his most productive day of the year with a grand slam and 6 RBIs in the team's 8-3 win over the Dodgers on May 22. Twenty days earlier, he had a single, double and home run in a 5-0 Mets' win over the Reds at Shea Stadium. Marshall also had a game-winning sacrifice fly in the eighth inning of the Mets' 7-4 victory over the Astros on July 4.
On July 27, Marshall was traded to the Boston Red Sox for three minor league players. He concluded his career with the California Angels in 1991.
