Michael Tucker

Michael Tucker was an outfielder for the Mets in 2006. He played in 35 games with the team. Tucker had 11 hits and six runs batted in as a Met.
In ’06, Tucker joined the Mets after eleven major league seasons. In his first game with the team on August 10, he had a run-scoring double in the Mets’ 7-3 win over the Padres at Shea Stadium. Michael hit a home run that put the Mets ahead to stay in a 3-1 victory at Washington on August 13. He doubled to drive in a run in a 6-3 Mets win over the Rockies on August 18 at Shea. Tucker drove in the winning run with an eighth-inning single for a 3-2 Mets triumph over the Marlins at Shea on September 19. He also had a single, a stolen base and a run scored in the Mets’ 4-2 win over the Cardinals in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series on October 18 at Shea.
Tucker played for the Red Sox’ AAA-level team in Pawtucket in 2007. He followed up with two seasons in the independent Atlantic League to conclude his career.
