Michael O'Connor is a pitcher for the Mets. He joined the team in 2011. O'Connor had pitched two seasons with the Washington Nationals before coming to the Mets.

In '11, O'Connor had a 2.70 earned run average in nine relief appearances. He made his debut with the team in the Mets’ 4-2 win over the Dodgers at Citi Field on May 7. Michael also pitched a perfect seventh inning in a 2-1 Mets victory over the Yankees on May 20.
