1966: Jack Fisher pitches a three-hitter in a 6-2 Mets win over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium. Fisher retires 20 consecutive batters during the game.
1969: Ed Kranepool hits two home runs to lead the Mets to a 5-2 win over the Dodgers. It is the Mets' sixth straight win as they go over the .500 mark (24-23) for the first time ever this late in the season.
1972: Duffy Dyer hits a three-run homer in the second inning to lift the Mets to a 5-2 win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.
1981: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 6-2, at Philadelphia. Frank Taveras singles three times and steals three bases. Greg Harris pitches seven shutout innings for his second major league win.
2008: The Mets score eight runs in the fifth inning en route to a 9-6 win over the Giants at San Francisco.
