1965: The Mets sweep a doubleheader, 5-2 and 6-3, against the Braves at Shea Stadium.

1983: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 10-1, with a 19-hit attack in the opener of a doubleheader at St. Louis. The game is the first at Busch Stadium for Keith Hernandez since being traded to the Mets by the Cardinals. Hernandez gets three of the Mets' hits and Hubie Brooks goes 5-for-6.

1998: Luis Lopez hits a sacrifice fly to score Carlos Baerga in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 2-1 win over the Yankees at Shea Stadium.

2010: R.A.Dickey gets his first Mets loss in the team's 10-3 defeat to the Florida Marlins in Puerto Rico. Dickey had won his first six decisions as a Met.
