1963: Tim Harkness hits a grand slam in the bottom of the 14th inning to give the Mets an 8-6 win over the Cubs at the Polo Grounds.
1967: Ed Charles' run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth inning gives the Mets a 3-2 victory over the Pirates.
1976: John Milner hits a grand slam in the Mets' 10-2 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. It is the first of three slams for Milner on the season, which sets a team record.
1996: The Mets score five runs in the eighth inning for a 9-5 win over the Rockies at Shea Stadium.
2003: Aaron Heilman makes his major league debut as a Met. He is the losing pitcher as the Marlins defeat the Mets, 6-1, at Shea Stadium.
2004: The Mets score six runs in th fourth inning in a 9-3 win over the Yankees.
