1963: The Mets sweep a doubleheader with 2-1 and 4-3 wins over the Pirates at the Polo Grounds. Both games end in 10 innings.

1985: Calvin Schiraldi and Doug Sisk combine for a five-hitter in a 7-3 Mets win over the Padres at San Diego.

1988: Howard Johnson hits a home run in the 13th inning to give the Mets a 2-1 win over the Cubs at Shea Stadium.

1989: Dave Magadan hits a two-run homer in the 11th inning to give the Mets a 3-2 win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.

1992: Eddie Murray hits a grand slam for all the Mets' scoring in a 4-3 win over the Giants at Shea Stadium.

1993: The Mets defeat the Cubs, 11-3, at Chicago. Todd Hundley, Bobby Bonilla and Chico Walker each hit home runs in a seven-run fourth inning.

2004: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 5-3, in 10 innings. Todd Zeile hits two home runs to drive in all five runs. The win gives the Mets a three-game sweep in their first visit ever to Citizen's Bank Park.

2011: After training by seven runs, the Mets come back for a 9-8 win over the Pirates at Citi Field.
