1962: In the 100th game of their inaugural season, the Mets collect 16 hits in a 9-8 win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.
1973: John Milner hits a grand slam in the first inning of the Mets' 11-3 win over the Expos at Shea Stadium. It is Milner's first of five bases-loaded homers as a Met.
1974: The Mets score three runs in the eighth inning for a 4-1 win over the Expos at Shea Stadium. Ted Martinez drives in three runs and Tug McGraw pitches two perfect innings of relief for his first win of the season.
1993: Anthony Young gets his first win in more than a year in a 5-4 Mets' victory over the Florida Marlins. Young had lost his previous 27 decisions dating back to April of 1992.
1999: The Mets score seven runs in the eighth inning for a 9-2 win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.
2000: The Mets trade Melvin Mora with Mike Kinkade and two minor league players to the Orioles for shortstop Mike Bordick.
2001: Robin Ventura hits a home run in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 4-3 win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium.
