1965: Al Jackson pitches a two-hit shutout against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. The Mets win, 1-0.

1970: The Mets defeat the Padres, 3-0, on Jim McAndrew's three-hit shutout at San Diego. Padres' starter Clay Kirby is tagged with the loss despite eight hitless innings.

1975: Joe Torre sets a Mets' record by hitting into four double plays in a game.

1991: The Mets hit six doubles (five in the third inning) in a 9-4 win over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium.

1997: The Mets defeat the Reds, 5-3, to complete a sweep of a four-game series at Shea Stadium. Carl Everett hits two home runs and John Franco records his 200th save as a Met.

1998: Rick Reed and John Franco combine for eleven strikeouts in a 4-0 Mets win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.
