Juan Padilla was a pitcher for the Mets in 2005. He made 24 relief appearances for the team. Padilla recorded three wins and one save as a Met.

In ’05, Padilla joined the Mets after one season with the Yankees and Reds. He had 17 strikeouts in 36 and one-third innings pitched during the season. At Shea Stadium on July 20, Juan pitched one and one-third scoreless innings for a save in the Mets’ 7-3 win over the Padres. He retired the side in order in the eighth inning to get the win in a 6-4 Mets victory over the Phillies on August 30 at Shea. Padilla had one and two-thirds scoreless innings pitched and got the win in the Mets’ 6-5 triumph at Washington on September 25. He also pitched two scoreless innings for the win in a 3-2 Mets victory at Philadelphia on September 27.

After a two-year absence from baseball, Padilla pitched in 14 games for the Mets’ AAA-level team in New Orleans in 2008. He spent the next two seasons in independent leagues. In 2011, Juan joined the Leones de Yucatan of the Mexican League.
