Juan Alicea

Juan Alicea is a broadcaster for the Mets. He has described the team's games on its Spanish Network since 1982. Alicea has also served the Mets in their scouting and community relations departments.
As a Mets' scout, Alicea's efforts led to the team's signings of Lee Mazzilli and Nino Espinosa. He has been productive in many marketing and public relations projects for the team in the Hispanic community. Juan serves as Director and Production Coordinator for Spanish radio broadcasts. In 1986 and 1988, he was on the air for the Mets' post-season games throughout the United States and Latin America for the International Spanish Network.
