Jon Switzer

Jon Switzer was a pitcher for the Mets in 2009. He made four relief appearances for the team. Switzer had three strikeouts in three and one-third innings pitched as a Met.

Before joining the Mets, Switzer had spent four seasons with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. he was called up from the Mets’ AAA-level team in Buffalo during the ’09 season. On June 21, Jon had two strikeouts in a perfect ninth inning against his former team in the Mets’ 10-6 loss to the Rays at Citi Field. He also recorded a strikeout in a 6-4 Mets win over the Cardinals at Citi Field on June 22.
