John Thomson was a pitcher for the Mets in 2002. He made nine starts for the team. Thomson had two wins and 31 strikeouts as a Met.
Thomson came to the Mets from the Rockies on July 31, 2002. At Florida on August 27, he pitched eight innings and had two singles in getting the win in a 10-5 Mets victory over the Marlins. John also had five innings pitched and recorded the win in an 11-3 Mets triumph at Philadelphia on September 8.
Thomson pitched for the Texas Rangers in 2003. He pitched three seasons with the Braves before concluding his career with the Royals in 2007.
