John Cangelosi

John Cangelosi was an outfielder for the Mets in 1994. He played in 62 games with the team. Cangelosi had 28 hits and 14 ruins scored as a Met.

Cangelosi joined the Mets as a free agent after seven major league seasons. In '94, he had five stolen bases to lead the team. At Shea Stadium on April 14, John had a single and two runs scored in the Mets' 10-9 win over the Cubs. He singled and doubled in a 7-4 Mets victory over the Giants on May 4 at Shea. Cangelosi had four singles and two runs batted in as the Mets defeated the Expos, 3-2, in 10 innings at Montreal on May 10. He also had two singles, a double, a stolen base and three runs scored in a 10-7 Mets victory at San Diego on July 1.

On July 8, 1994, Cangelosi was released by the Mets. He played the next two seasons with the Astros and two years with the Marlins. John ended his career with the Rockies in 1999.
