On June 15, his run-scoring single in the bottom of the 10th gave the Mets a 5-4 victory over the Marlins. Also against Florida, Joe hit a pinch-hit three-run homer on August 7 that broke a tie and gave the Mets a 5-2 win. He doubled with two outs in the 11th inning to drive in the tying run and later scored for a 5-4 Mets win over the Giants on August 21. Orsulak also had three singles and three RBIs in a 7-6 Met win over the Padres on August 26.
