Joe Hietpas

Joe Hietpas was a catcher for the Mets in 2004. He played in one game with the team. Hietpas had two putouts as a Met.

In '04, Hietpas made his only major league appearance on October 3. In the season finale at Shea Stadium, he was behind the plate for the ninth inning in the Mets' 8-1 win over the Expos. Joe did not have a plate appearance as a major leaguer.

Hietpas continued to play in the Mets' minor league system from 2005 to 2008.
