Joe Ginsberg was a catcher for the Mets in 1962. He played in two games with the team. Ginsberg was hitless in five at bats as a Met.

Following a ten-year career in the American League, Ginberg joined the Mets as a free agent on January 30, 1962. On April 13, he was the team's starting catcher in a 4-3 loss to the Pirates at the Polo Grounds in the Mets' first home game ever. Joe was in the starting lineup in the Mets' 7-2 defeat to the Pirates at the Polo Grounds on April 15. He was released by the team on May 1.
