Jerrod Riggan

Jerrod Riggan was a pitcher for the Mets in 2000 and 2001. He made 36 relief appearances for the team. Riggan had three wins and 42 strikeouts as a Met.

In 2000, Riggan made his major league debut on August 29. He pitched two innings of an 11-1 Mets loss to the Astros at Shea Stadium. This was Jerrod's only appearance with the team during the year.

Riggan had a 3.40 earned run average for the Mets in 2001. At Los Angeles on August 18, he recorded his first major league win in the Mets' 5-4 victory over the Dodgers. Jerrod pitched a scoreless 11th inning and got the win in a 3-2 Mets victory over the Giants on August 25 at Shea. He was also the winning pitcher in a 7-5 Mets triumph at Pittsburgh on September 18.

Following the '01 season, Riggan was traded to the Indians. He pitched in 31 games over two years with the Cleveland team. Jerrod spent the 2004 season with the Hanshin Tigers in Japan. He pitched in the Mets' minor league system to conclude his career in 2005.
