Jeff Musselman was a lefthanded pitcher for the Mets in 1989 and 1990. He pitched 58 and one-third innings in 48 relief appearances for the team. Musselman had a 4.47 earned run average as a Met.

Musselman came to the Mets with Mike Brady (no, not the father of TV's Bunch) from the Toronto Blue Jays in a trade for Mookie Wilson on August 1, 1989. He recorded three wins for the Mets over the remainder of the '89 season. At Shea Stadium on August 6, Jeff pitched two shutout innings to get the win in a 2-1 Mets victory over the Expos in 14 innings. He got credit for a victory in a 6-4 Mets win over the Cardinals that completed a doubleheader sweep at Shea on August 10. Musselman also earned a win with two perfect innings of relief as the Mets defeated the Padres, 3-2, on August 15 at Shea.

In 1990, Musselman had 14 strikeouts in 32 innings pitched. His only decisions for the year were losses at Shea to the Pirates on June 7 and Reds on June 30. Musselman pitched his last major league game at Philadelphia on September 7. Jeff concluded his playing career with two seasons for the Oakland Athletics' AAA-level team in Tacoma.
