Jeff Keppinger

Jeff Keppinger was a second baseman for the Mets in 2004. He played in 33 games with the team. Keppinger batted .284 with three homers and nine runs batted in as a Met.
In ’04, Keppinger came to the Mets in a trade with the Pirates on July 30. He homered in consecutive games against the Dodgers on August 28 and August 29 at Shea Stadium. Jeff had three singles and a stolen base in the Mets’ 7-0 victory over the Braves at Shea on September 14. He also hit a two-run double in an 8-7 Mets victory in 10 innings at Pittsburgh on September 18.
Keppinger played for the Mets’ AAA-level team at Norfolk in 2005. He was dealt to the Royals in 2006 and spent the next two seasons with the Reds. Jeff joined the Astros in 2009.
