Jeff Duncan was an outfielder for the Mets in 2003 and 2004. He played in 69 games with the team. Duncan had 28 hits and 11 runs batted in as a Met.

In ’03, Duncan appeared in the Mets’ starting lineup for the first time on May 22. He singled twice and scored a run in the team’s 6-3 victory over the Phillies at Shea Stadium. Jeff homered in a 4-2 Mets loss to the Phils in 11 innings at Shea on July 12. He had a two-run single and a bases-loaded walk in an 11-8 Mets defeat at Atlanta on July 20. Duncan tripled and scored a run in the Mets’ 5-4 win at Houston on August 7. He also had three singles and two RBIs in a 4-3 Mets defeat to the Expos on September 20 at Shea.

Duncan had 15 at bats for the Mets in 2004. His only major league hit of the season was a run-scoring single in a 4-0 Mets win over the Braves at Shea on April 15. Jeff also scored two runs in the Mets’ 9-5 victory at Los Angeles on April 27.

In 2005, Duncan played in 90 games for the Mets’ Binghamton (AA) and Norfolk (AAA) affiliates. He was released by the organization on August 10. Jeff spent the next two years in the Dodgers’ and Blue Jays’ minor league systems. He concluded his career with the Somerset Patriots on the independent Atlantic League in 2008.
