Jason Jacome

Jason Jacome was a pitcher for the Mets in 1994 and 1995. He appeared in 13 games with the team. Jacome had 75 innings pitched and four wins as a Met.
During the '94 season, Jacome (pronounced HOCK-o-me) was called up to the Mets from their AAA-level team in Norfolk. He recorded his first major league win with a six-hit shutout for a 3-0 Mets victory at Los Angeles on July 7. At Shea Stadium on July 16, Jason was the winning pitcher in a 5-4 Mets triumph over the Padres. He pitched six innings and got the win as the Mets defeated the Giants, 6-3, on July 22 at Shea. Jacome also had seven innings pitched in earning the win in a 7-4 Mets victory at St. Louis on July 27.
Jacome was dealt to the Royals on July 21, 1995. He pitched in 71 games over three seasons for the Kansas City team. Jason pitched for the Cleveland Indians in 1997 and 1998. He continued to pitch in the minor leagues until 2004.
