Ike Davis is a first baseman for the Mets. He joined the team in 2010.

A first round draft choice of the Mets in 2008, Davis played in the team’s minor league system for two full seasons. He appeared in 147 games with the parent club during the ’10 season. Ike had a double, two singles and two runs scored in the Mets’ 5-2 win over the Cubs at Citi Field on April 22. He hit a pair of homers in a 6-4 Mets victory over the Giants on May 7 at Citi Field. Davis singled and doubled twice each and scored three runs in a 6-1 Mets triumph over the Marlins at Citi Field on June 5. He homered in the 11th inning to give the Mets a 2-1 win over the Padres on June 8 at Citi Field. Ike had a single, two doubles and the game-winning RBI in the Mets’ 4-3 victory at San Francisco in 10 innings on July 18. He hit a three-run homer in a 4-0 Mets win over the Cardinals on July 29 at Citi Field. At Chicago on September 5, Davis had two singles, a double, a homer, three runs scored and three RBIs in the Mets’ 18-5 triumph over the Cubs. He singled three times, doubled and drove in three runs in a 4-3 Mets victory over the Phillies on September 11 at Citi Field. Ike also hit a home run in the Mets' 2-1 win over the Nationals in 10 innings at Citi Field on October 1.

In 2011, Davis had 70 total bases and a .302 batting average in 36 games played. He scored 20 runs for the year. At Florida on April 2, Ike had a pair of doubles and an RBI in the Mets’ 6-4 win in 10 innings over the Marlins. He had a single, a two-run triple and a run scored in an 8-4 Mets victory over the Nationals at Citi Field on April 9. Davis drove in a pair of runs with a homer and a sacrifice fly in the Mets’ 9-1 triumph over the Astros on April 21 at Citi Field. One day later, he hit a two-run homer that put the Mets ahead to stay in a 4-1 win over the Diamondbacks at Citi Field. Ike homered for the third day in a row in the Mets’ 6-4 victory over the D’Backs at Citi Field on April 23. He had two singles, a double and two runs scored in a 6-4 Mets triumph at Washington on April 26. Davis also hit a home run in a 6-3 Mets win over the Dodgers on May 6 at Citi Field.

Davis returned to his status as the Mets’ regular first baseman in 2012. At Atlanta on April 16, he snapped a tie with a three-run homer in the Mets’ 6-1 win over the Braves. Ike had a double and a three-run homer in a 10-6 Mets victory at Philadelphia on May 9. He singled and hit a three-run homer in an 11-2 Mets win at Tampa Bay on June 12. Davis hit a grand slam in the Mets’ 5-0 triumph over the Orioles on June 18 at Citi Field. He had a run-scoring double and a three-run homer in a 17-1 Mets win over the Cubs at Chicago on June 27. At Los Angeles on June 30, Ike doubled and hit a three-run homer in the Mets' 5-0 victory over the Dodgers. He homered three times in a 6-3 Mets defeat to the Diamondbacks at Arizona on July 28. Davis had a pair of run-scoring singles in a 6-5 Mets win over the Braves on August 12 at Citi Field. He hit a two-run homer to give the Mets a 2-0 victory over the Nationals at Washington on August 18. Ike homered twice for the Mets' only runs of a 2-1 win over the Astros at Citi Field on August 26. At Philadelphia on August 28, he had an RBI double in the 10th inning to put the Mets ahead to stay in a 9-5 victory over the Phillies. Davis also drove in five runs with a pair of homers in the Mets' 6-2 win over the Pirates on September 24 at Citi Field.

In 2013, Davis hit a two-run homer in the Mets' 8-4 win over the Padres at Citi Field on April 3. He slugged a pair of homers in a 7-1 Mets victory over the Nationals on April 19 at Citi Field.
