Hal Reniff

Hal Reniff was a pitcher for the Mets in 1967. He made 29 relief appearances for the team. Reniff compiled 43 innings pitched and won three games as a Met.
Reniff came to the Mets from the Yankees during the '67 season. In his first game with the team on July 1, Hal pitched three scoreless innings and got the win in a 6-4 Mets victory over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium. He recorded another win the next day as the Mets defeated the Redbirds, 5-4, in the first game of a doubleheader at Shea. Reniff pitched two scoreless innings and got the win in the Mets' 5-4 triumph over the Braves on July 9 at Shea. He also had four shutout innings with three strikeouts in a 4-2 Mets defeat to the Astros at Shea on July 18.
Reniff was released by the Mets following the '67 season. He pitched for the Yankees' AAA-level team in Syracuse from 1968 to 1972 to conclude his career.
