Greg Pavlick

Greg Pavlick was a coach for the Mets in the 1980s and 1990s. He served nine seasons on the team's staff. Pavlick was a bullpen coach and later became the team's official pitching coach.
Pavlick was a pitcher in the Mets' minor league system for seven years. He won 38 games and recorded 419 strikeouts at all minor league levels from 1971 to 1977. Greg pitched a total of 163 games as a Mets prospect. He then became a minor league coach for the organization.
Pavlick had three stints on the Mets' staff. He was a bullpen coach in 1985 and 1986, in the bullpen again from 1988 to 1991 and the team's pitching coach from 1994 to 1996. Greg's time as a Mets coach started during the managerial tenure of Davey Johnson and ended when Bobby Valentine led the team.
