Gerry Arrigo

Gerry Arrigo was a pitcher for the Mets in 1966. He appeared in 17 games with the team. Arrigo had a 3-3 won-lost record and a 3.74 earned run average as a Met.

Arrigo came to the Mets from the Cincinnati Reds on May 20, 1966. In his first game with the team two days later, he pitched the final three innings of a 5-0 Mets loss in the first game of a doubleheader at San Francisco. At Los Angeles on May 29, Gerry pitched two shutout innings of relief and got the win in a 7-6 Mets triumph over the Dodgers. He pitched one and one-third hitless innings for the win in a 9-6 Mets victory at Philadelphia on July 7. In the first game of a doubleheader at Shea on July 17, Arrigo drove in three runs with a pair of doubles and got the win in the Mets’ 4-2 victory over the Astros. He was sold back to the Reds on August 16.

Gerry continued to pitch for the Reds until the end of the 1969 season. He concluded his career with the Chicago White Sox in 1970.
