Geremi Gonzalez

Geremi Gonzalez was a pitcher for the Mets in 2006. He made three starts for the team. Gonzalez had eight strikeouts in 14 innings pitched as a Met.
Gonzalez joined the Mets as a free agent in ’06. He pitched five innings in a 9-8 Mets win at Milwaukee on May 13. Geremi had three innings pitched in the Mets’ 7-6 victory over the Yankees at Shea Stadium on May 19. He also hurled six innings in a 5-3 Mets loss to the Phillies on May 25 at Shea.
On May 26, 2006, Gonzalez was traded to the Brewers. He had a 4-2 won-lost record in 21 games with the Milwaukee team over the rest of the season. Geremi pitched for the Blue Jays’ AAA-level team in Syracuse and the Yomiuri Giants of Japan in 2007. He died on May 25, 2008 in his native Venezuela.
