Gary Kroll was a pitcher for the Mets in 1964 and 1965. In 40 games, he had 6 wins and 86 strikeouts. Kroll pitched 180 and two-thirds innings as a member of the Mets.

Kroll came to the Mets with Wayne Graham from the Phillies in a trade for Frank Thomas on August 7, 1964. In his first game with the Mets on August 22, he pitched six innings in a 3-2 loss to the Cubs at Shea Stadium. Gary also struck out five batters in five innings against the Dodgers at Shea on September 5.

In 1965, Kroll had 11 starts in his 32 game appearances. On April 18, he recorded his first win only complete game of the year with a rain-shortened 7-1 win over the Giants in the second game of a doubleheader at Shea. Six days later, he got credit for the win as the Mets defeated the Giants, 7-6, at San Francisco. Gary recorded victories in two consecutive relief appearances at Shea on June 28 (second game of doubleheader vs. Braves) and June 30 (vs. Reds), striking out a total of eight batters in nine and one-third innings. At Shea on July 25, he struck out five batters in three scoreless innings in an 8-1 Mets win over the Phillies in the first game of a doubleheader.

Kroll was traded to the Houston Astros for Johnny Weekly on January 6,1966. He pitched one season in Houston and finished his career with the Cleveland Indians in 1969.
