Garry Templeton was an infielder for the Mets in 1991. He appeared in 80 games with the team. Templeton had 50 hits and 20 runs batted in as a Met.

After many outstanding years with the Cardinals and Padres, Templeton joined the Mets during his sixteenth major league season in ’91. At Shea Stadium on June 15, he hit a two-run homer in the Mets’ 6-0 win over the Astros. Garry had a two-run single and a run scored in a 10-6 Mets victory over the Reds on June 17 at Shea. He homered in a 4-0 Mets win at San Diego on July 27. Templeton had two singles and a triple that drove in the winning run of a 2-1 Mets triumph over the Reds on August 25 at Shea. In the final game of his career on October 5, he singled in his last two at bats as the Mets lost, 1-0, at Philadelphia.
