Dyar Miller was a pitcher for the Mets in 1980 and 1981. He made 54 relief appearances for the team. Miller had a 2.58 earned run average as a Met.

Miller signed with the Mets as a free agent after five seasons in the American League. In 1980, he had one win, one save and 28 strikeouts during the year. Dyar began the '80 season at AAA-level Tidewater (Norfolk, Virginia) and joined the Mets in July. At Shea Stadium on September 17, he pitched three scoreless innings and got the win in a 5-2 Mets victory over the Expos. Miller also pitched a perfect 11th inning for a save in the Mets' 9-6 win at Pittsburgh on September 20.

In 1981, Miller pitched 38 and one-third innings. He recorded a win and 22 strikeouts during the strike-shortened season. Dyar's only win of the year came in the Mets' 7-5 triumph in 13 innings at Chicago on August 10. At Houston on September 2, he pitched a scoreless eighth inning in an 8-0 Mets loss to the Astros for his final major league appearance. Miller was released by the Mets on October 22, 1981.
