Doug Simons

Doug Simons was a pitcher for the Mets in 1991. He pitched 60 and two-thirds innings in 42 games with the team. Simons recorded two wins and one save as a Met.
In his major league debut on April 9, Simons pitched two scoreless innings and was the winning pitcher in the Mets' 2-1 victory over the Phillies at Shea Stadium. He got credit for the win in a 6-3 Mets triumph at Houston on June 7. At Cincinnati on September 1, Doug pitched the last four innings to earn a save as the Mets defeated the Reds, 9-4.
Simons appeared in seven games for the Montreal Expos in 1992. He pitched four more years in the minor leagues to conclude his career.
