Don Rowe

Don Rowe was a pitcher for the Mets in 1963. He appeared in 26 games with the team. Rowe had 27 strikeouts in 54 and two-thirds innings pitched as a Met.
In '63, Rowe made his major league debut with two and two-thirds scoreless innings in a 7-0 Mets loss to the Cardinals at the Polo Grounds on April 9. He got a no-decision in his only major league start as the Mets lost, 8-6, at Philadelphia on April 22. Don pitched three scoreless innings in a 3-0 Mets defeat to the Reds in a doubleheader opener at the Polo Grounds on May 12. In the first game of a doubleheader at St. Louis on May 26, he had three and one-third innings of shutout ball in the Mets' 7-4 loss to the Cardinals. Rowe also had a pair of scoreless and hitless innings in an 8-3 Mets loss to the Reds on June 11 at the Polo Grounds.
Rowe pitched in 43 games for the Mets' AAA-level Buffalo team in 1964 and 1965. He then pitched two seasons for the Indians' AAA-level team in Portland, Oregon to conclude his career.
