At Shea on June 14, Don hit his first major league home run in the Mets' 7-3 victory over the Giants. He homered off Juan Marichal to lead off the first inning the next day. In the second game of a doubleheader at Shea on July 4, Bosch hit a two-run homer off Jim Bunning that put the Mets ahead to stay in a 4-3 win over the Pirates.

Bosch completed his career with the Montreal Expos in 1969.
