Dennis Springer was a pitcher for the Mets in 2000. He made two starts for the team. Springer had five strikeouts in 11 innings pitched as a Met.
Springer pitched for four different major league teams between 1995 and 1999. In 2000, he joined the Mets as a free agent. In his first game with the team on April 22, Dennis got a no-decision in the Mets' 7-6 win over the Cubs in the second game of a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. He was also tagged with the loss in a 12-1 Mets defeat to the Reds at Shea on April 26.
Springer appeared in five games with the Dodgers in 2001 and 2002 to conclude his career.
