Dean Chance

Dean Chance was a pitcher for the Mets in 1970. He made three relief appearances with the team. Chance had one loss and one save as a Met.
After ten seasons in the American League, Chance was purchased by the Mets from the Cleveland Indians in September of '70. He made his debut as a National Leaguer in the Mets' 9-5 loss to the Pirates at Shea Stadium on September 20. Dean recorded a save with a scoreless ninth inning for a 7-6 Mets victory on September 22 at Philadelphia. He was tagged with a loss in the Mets' 4-3 defeat at Pittsburgh on September 25.
On March 30, 1971, Chance was traded to the Detroit Tigers. He pitched in 31 games for the Detroit team in '71 to conclude his career.
