From The Met Wiki
Darrell Sutherland was a pitcher for the Mets from 1964 to 1966. He had a 5-4 won-lost record in 119 innings pitched for the team. Sutherland recorded 48 strikeouts as a Met.
After losing all three of his decisions in '64, Sutherland won three times in 1965. On August 14, he got his first major league victory with four shutout innings of relief as the Mets defeated the Astros, 1-0, in 10 innings at Houston. He got another win as a reliever in an 8-6 Mets victory at Chicago on September 19. At Shea Stadium on September 28, Darrell was the winning pitcher in a 1-0 Mets triumph in 12 innings over the Pirates.
In 1966, Sutherland appeared in 31 games for the Mets, all as a reliever. He struck out 23 batters and recorded two wins and a save during the year. Darrell chalked up his only major league save in the Mets' 5-2 win in 11 innings at Pittsburgh on April 29. At Philadelphia on July 6, he pitched two shutout innings and got the win in a 7-5 Mets victory over the Phillies. Sutherland also got credit for a victory in a 5-4 Mets win at San Francisco on September 16.
After spending the 1967 season at AA-level Williamsport, Sutherland left the Mets organization. He pitched in three games for the Cleveland Indians in 1968 to finish his career.
