Dale Thayer

Dale Thayer is a pitcher for the Mets. He joined the team in 2011. Thayer had pitched for the Tampa Bay Rays before coming to the Mets.

In the ’11 season, Thayer made 11 relief appearances for the Mets. At Citi Field on June 1, he pitched two scoreless innings in a 9-3 Mets loss to the Pirates. Dale pitched a scoreless bottom of the eighth in the Mets’ 11-6 defeat at St. Louis on September 20. He also had a pair of scoreless innings pitched in a 9-4 Mets loss to the Phillies on September 25 at Citi Field.
