Dae-Sung Koo was a pitcher for the Mets in 2005. He made 33 relief appearances for the team. Koo had 23 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched as a Met.

Before coming to the Mets, Koo had pitched twelve seasons with the Lotte Giants and Hanwha Hawks of his native Korea and the Orix Blue Wave of Japan. He struck out two batters in a perfect eighth inning in the Mets’ 7-6 season-opening defeat at Cincinnati on April 4. Dae-Sung had two perfect innings pitched in a 6-3 Mets loss to the Phillies on June 29 at Shea Stadium. He struck out the side in a perfect bottom of the eighth in an 11-4 Mets defeat at Pittsburgh on July 9. Koo also pitched a perfect seventh inning in the Mets’ 12-0 win over the Padres on July 21 at Shea.

Following the ’05 season, Koo returned to Korea and pitched five more seasons with the Hanwha team. He also spent part of the 2010 season with the Sydney Blue Sox in Australia.
